Heidi and The Mistress have made this post possible. Both of them rave about the Ultra Satin formula; I guess they threw in two other finishes so I could give them a try.

| L -R: Ultra Satins 'Toolips' and 'Bijou', Ultra Metallic 'Mug Shot' and Ultra Matte 'Ribbon' |
ColourPop is well known for releasing a limited edition collection every time yuh blink. (Funny how we used to roast M.A.C for that but now no one seems to mind) They've collaborated with a host of online influencers whom have further pushed the brand to consumers. I can't deny that their marketing style has been very effective in this microwave time that we find ourselves. Coupled with the inexpensive prices; it seems as though they really have a recipe for success.
The Ultra Satin and Ultra Matte tubes are noted as containing 3.2 g / 0.11(28) oz - a little less than half of the ones from Kat Von D - of product while the Ultra Metallic one states 2.85 g /0.10 oz (same as Stila). The ingredients aren't listed on the boxes or tubes of the product but they are on ColourPop's website. All liquid lipsticks retail for $6USD.
'TooLips' ingredients: ISODODECANE, DIISOSTEARYL MALATE, HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE, C10-18 TRIGLYCERIDES, ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) BRAN WAX, DIMETHICONE CROSSPOLYMER, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, SILICA SILYLATE, POLYETHYLENE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, PROPYLENE CARBONATE, BLUE 1 LAKE (CI 42090), IRON OXIDES (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), RED 27 LAKE (CI 45410), RED 7 LAKE (CI 15850), TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891).
'Mug Shot' ingredients: ISODODECANE, DIISOSTEARYL MALATE, HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE, DIMETHICONE CROSSPOLYMER, SYNTHETIC BEESWAX, C10-18 TRIGLYCERIDES, ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) BRAN WAX, SILICA SILYLATE, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, POLYETHYLENE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, PROPYLENE CARBONATE, IRON OXIDES (CI 77491), MICA (CI 77019), TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891).
'Bijou' and 'Ribbon' were limited edition and are no longer listed on the site. The applicators are the typical doe foot ones but they seem to vary in size by product. They worked fine for the Satin and Metallic formulas but the Matte ones could benefit from something more precise since they dry down so quickly. When ColourPop first swept YouTube I saw a lot of reviews complaining that product was leaking out of the packaging so be careful if you store these horizontally.
Value for money and shade variety can't be denied here. So it really comes down to which formula you prefer. I still won't be buying them though 😄
