Today was devoted to picking up a little gem I found on eBay. Now, if you ever shop on eBay, you know there are many gems to be found. I will admit to scanning various items now and again. Is my bidding always successful? Nope, but sometimes I get lucky.
This week I bid on a Federal style Cherry Butler's desk from the early 1800's.
Today I brought it home.
Indicative to Kentucky and Tennessee, antique cherry furniture is a treasure. I love it and have just a few pieces.
This piece came from a family collection. The gentleman I bought it from had furniture that had been passed down through three generations. The amount, and quality, of antique cherry furniture in his home boggled my mind.
Glad she is here to rest with us in this old farmhouse.
