Daffodils and Shamrocks

I do so love to decorate for the seasons.  The one holiday that I didn't have decorations for, until last year, was St. Patricks Day.  Last year I found a neat little thing with an Irish boy and girl on it... this year I found a cute little Irish girl and boy figurines by Bethany Lowe on eBay and they arrived last week.  Here they are with a little jar the kids found with a bouquet of tiny yellow Narcissus growing in one of my big pots.  I bought a little plant of these a few years ago and planted the bulbs on the deck after they bloomed.

You can see how tiny the Narcissus are compared to the bouquet of big Daffodils on the table.  Oh my do they smell wonderful!

I had this green tablecloth for years and the woven in design looks like Shamrocks, too!

Tiny little baby daff.

Live, Laugh, Dance.. that's the little decoration I found last year.  A good motto.  I even put my little knitting bunny out as her dress has little shamrock shapes all over it.  :-)  I have Scots and Irish blood in me - my g-g-grandfather was a McAlister.  He married an Indian woman.  I always thought it was interesting that my sister was red-haired and freckled and I had an olive complexion with long dark straight hair.  I'm also a lot English.  :-)

Hello!  Can you conjure up the aroma of a fresh-picked garden Daffodil?  Wonderful!!

My son Travis went with me to pick up Dayle from the hospital yesterday before noon.  He's now learning how to negotiate getting in and out of his recliner with his quite painful abdomen - they cut him about 8 inches there are 4 laproscope holes around the large incision.  He's grumpy and snarky but we're taking good care of him.  :-)  I hope you have a great weekend!  ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
